Hi guys! I just joined this group! I believe I am in the right place? My husband went in under AV and just got orders for ATO. PIR is next week. His orders are as follows (thus far until things change ;) this is the navy) : PIR 9/7 flight to pensacola 9/12 a school classes start 9/16 and grad date is 10/29. Any info anyone has for me I would be happy to hear. Please do not give me a bunch of negative information though as I have learned that everyone's circumstances tend to be different and there's no such dwelling on things that may or may not happen :D Thanks for any info and it is wonderful to meet you all!

Good Evening Everyone!

Sherrill - stay safe and I hope Isaac eases on past you. Unfortunately the latest models show him heading towards my Sailor in Biloxi. Talked to J earlier and he says they will not evacuate but are taking shelter at the base. Saying prayers that Isaac won't become too intense. J doesn't seem concerned. He's bought extra supplies and got a couple new books on his ereader. Says he may be sand bagging tomorrow.

Connie - said an extra prayer in church this morning for Grandmaw.

Good evening my girlies!  whew what a week!  Sister Sandi arrived from NOLA just in time to take Grandmaw to the hospital.  she's been there since Monday and all the doctors and nurses are scratching their heads on this old Southern Belle. they can't find the cause for her being so sick!  she's trying to convince them all that it was a bad watermelon that started this ordeal..."not likely" they say but it won't keep her from trying to get them to "see things her way"!  she's keeping the staff in stitches taking "ugly" about the doctors behind their backs.  but oh Lord when she gets really sick again my sweet Momma is just plain P.I.T.I.F.U.L. fever, chills, extreme nausea, extreme weakness and a horrible rash.

welcome to the new momma Imnadelady!

Sherrill, love the picture of your Sailor and hope that Issac fizzles out!

joshmom my son went in March and is on his first deploy.  He likes it and has already said he is staying for Christmas, as a lot of them will be staying.  He is a happy man, he is attached to a squadron.

sherrill ok you are going to have to explain to me the difference of ATI and ATO, I haven't heard him mention that.

Welcome Imnadelady! My son is in C school in Biloxi but will be heading to the George Washington this winter. How long has your son been on the GW? Hope he likes it over there.

I'm new to this site.  Where are your sailors?  Mine is with a Squadron  on the USS George Washington

Sherrill that is good news and he looks like a happy man.

Connie - prayers for Grandmaw that her days get better and better.

Good evening my girlies!  jumping on here late. Poppa Smurf is home from the market and he'll have his office tied up for the next couple of days.

Grandmaw....well it's good then it's bad then it's back to "some" better.  now the doctors tell us that they are only guessing it's a gastrointestinal infection. she slept for 14 ½ hours straight and has pretty much slept most of the last two weeks.

Finally this late afternoon she was actually hungry and ate a whole sandwich...she has only nibbled since she got sick.

y'all take care, hug your Sailors if you can....hug any body you can grab!
