Wow...birthdays & cake on the Ike... now that makes for a memorable day!
Sailormom - I love it that your son said it's like a big family. Sure makes me feel better because I'll be in your shoes eventually.
Sherrill - glad you're having a good time!
MNM - How hot is it your way? We've reached 107 today, but with all the fires going on out west I'm not complaining!
Have a safe, fun & cool evening everyone!
sailormom, good going girlie! woo hoo you've heard from your Sailor and he's eatin' cake!!! i hope you find a momma, wife or g/f with a sailor from your son's squadron : )
Happy Thursday to all of my girlies. Our Sherrill made to Vegas!! gonna play a few slots? a kid and i mean a guy in his middle 20's was out in Vegas with a couple of other "wild ones" and on his way out put some money in a slot and won 2.5 MILLION dollars!!! he has a lawn serviice that we use and he's doing ok.....couldn't seem to hold onto most of it and he'll still have to work for the rest of his life like most of Americans.
Connie/memphisbell, I have heard from him a couple days ago, he said he loves it and that on his birthday his commanding officer pulled him off the flight deck to eat cake with the chiefs and pilots. He said it's like a big family, not just a job. He said being out on the ocean makes him feel so small and insignificant and that he has never seen so many stars . I was just wanting to make friends with someone who had a son/daugter who might be in his squadron.
thanks MNM for the hug....needed it and reeeeeally need a Sailor hug :*(
hope you hear from your Marine soon....just to make sure every thing is okie dokie.
girlies, i was just watching the national news and the fires are within 3 miles of Colorado Springs. i checked CC's page and she is just about 30 mins. southwest of there. she hasn't been on here for a while but i know that she knows that we'll all be praying for her and her loved ones.
sailormom, my son has a buddy on the IKE who's an ATI3. have you not heard from your Sailor? are you following the IKE on facebook? they have some great pictures there and if you are not a member of facebook you do not have to join to see the page. here's a pic of them manning the rails as they pulled away.
Does anyone have someone who is on the IKE? My son just deployed last week for the first time.
Good morning my girlies!!!! looks like we're all doing ok....yipppeeeee!
