Good Morning Ladies!  Ok I admit I may have over reacted to TS Debby yesterday.  Hey I'm from the midwest - this is my first experience with any ocean storm!  I'm not concerned with J's safety cause I know the Navy will get them out if necessary.  My big concern is that since he is graduating this Thursday and coming home on leave next Monday an evac could really mess things up!  J is not at all scared of storms, heck he'd be one to volunteer to stay at base just to see what it's like!

Sherrill - I had to chuckle when I read your post.  You sound like me when it comes to tornado watches.  I don't get concerned with them until there's a warning directly in my area.  I do hope you stay safe though and I'll be keeping an eye on Debby.  Hope she doesn't turn wicked!!!

Good evening ladies! Just got back from camping and got the news of Tropical Storm Debby. Talked to J and other than the wind really picking up things are ok in P'cola so far. Prayers that the eye of this storm doesn't head toward P'cola and they would have to evacuate.
Sherrill - Prayers to you with this storm too. Looks like you're getting hit hard right now. Hope everyone is safe.

Hugs to ya Sherrill. Pets are part of a family and it's hard when they get sick. Extra prayer for Micah!

Hope you all have a great weekend. Getting ready to go camping for a few days so talk to ya all later.

Good morning ladies and thanks for the info & advice. I'm so grateful you all are here to answer my questions and offer support. I'm sure I'll be bugging each of you in the near future with questions! Had exciting conversations on the phone yesterday not sure who's more excited J or his grandpa. My dad was a Sailor and was stationed in Yokosuka also. 60+ years later J is the first one in the family to follow in his grandpa's footsteps.
Have a great day ladies and again THANK YOU!

News Flash - Orders just "popped" and Sailor Son got what he requested.  He'll be heading to Mississippi for "C" school then off to Japan to be on the USS George Washington!  He's so happy and I'm so happy for him.

Good morning and happy hump day!
Thank you ladies for your sweet comments. You made my day! I have to brag, my boys have all turned into fine young men, well mannered & respectful. Still working on the youngest one though (he's 14). He's our comedian and keeps things interesting. So far so good with him.
Have a great day all!

Good morning my girlies!!!!!

joshmom, what a sweet sweet son you have!  isn't it great when they want the honest truth and truly care about others' feelings!  and his "reasoning" for his decision.....gotta LOVE that Sailor! i held my breath the entire time my son was in Pcola over the whole tattoo thing.  he went in the Navy with a small Cougar head on his shoulder.  EVERYONE was rushing to get tatted.  so far no additions  (that i know of) and he still has only one.

Good Morning!  Had one of those "feel good" moments last night.  J called and says "Mom, I know how you feel about tattoos so please be honest and tell me how you really feel about mine"  Well after a lengthy conversaton about him, his tattoo, his brother and my approval he says "Thanks mom, and don't worry I really don't care that much for tattoos either, I just wanted the one."  I hung up the phone, had a few sniffles and grinned.

Have a great day everyone and I hope you all are doing well.

Good Morning!
Welcome home Sherrill. Hope you have a relaxing day. Have to smile thinking about your dad "driving" but as long as he enjoyed the trip that's all that matters.

Sailor son got a tattoo this weekend. I'm personally not a fan of tattoos but he impressed me with this one. He had it made off a picture of his older brothers big buck that he had killed and the words "In Remembrance" and his brothers initials put on it. It brought tears to my eyes.
