Girlies, i talked to Sharon (AuxLady) from my PIR group last night. Brian is in the hospital awaiting a bone marrow transplant. it should take place within 7-10 days. please pray for Brian. for those who don't know about Brian, he's an MA and was at St. Mary's just weeks after his baby girl was born, he was diagnosed with leukemia. he is 26 yrs. old and a home town hero before he entered the Navy....his dream....he had just barely gotten started with his Navy life when this happened.
Good Afternoon my girlies and welcome aboard Cmyhero!!!!
i've been planting and planting flowers. the poor little things don't stand a chance as i have the blackest thumb known to mankind...but i did it for my darlin' who wanted LOTS of flowers in the garden. since it was our 42nd anniversary it made a nice gift. i told him to look quick as i don't think any will survive!
welcome back 3ds and for the mommas going to Pcola...have tons of fun!
Happy weekend Ladies! Joshmom and mrojas - how exciting for both of you that you will be in Pensicola soon! Wish that we were heading that way too. We have been trying to get the spring clean up done out in the yards, gardens and pasture! Pruning trees, weeding, raking and mowing, Then comes planting the garden, putting in annuals, doing containers and mulching.
Sherrill- it may look like your grass is dying, but it is more than likely just gone dormant. Grass has a way of "hibernating" during dry spells. It can stay dormant for a looooong time and as long as you are able to water once a week it will keep it from dying. We actually had 6 years of water restrictions where no outdoor water usage was allowed except for vegetable gardens or agricultural (like the farm crops and livestock) and that usage was monitered! Anyone caught sneaking water for lawns or using excessive household water were fined $2500.00 per offense! But, once that we started getting moisture again the grasses greened right up!! So, fear not... your lawn will survive!! :)
Have a great weekend!
Happy Friday Gang! Hope everyone has big plans for a great weekend!
