Matt's Mom - Bet you're dreading going to get your grandson and bring him home...NOT!!!!  You're getting the best part of helping them move!  Enjoy your time with the little man!

BeachBunny - Gotta love it when you get those messages that sailor is happy...hope he has a great time in port!  I don't remember what carrier your son is on, I'm thinking he's been carrier hopping though!  Anyhoo, is he part of the 3 carrier hull swap that's going to happen this year?  Just curious

Candirad - hope we get to hear exciting stories from the "Oasis"  keep us posted

Have a great day ladies and Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Thanks ladies I will tell him!  joshmom he has now been married for over 3 years and has a 2 year old son.  I am flying up there next week to pick up my grandson and bring him back to Texas with me so that they can pack up the house and take care of everything they need to without the help of a 2 year old.  candirad I think the training he has received while in the Navy will greatly benefit him in the civilian job place.

Happy travels to him....he can laugh when he hits the city limit that states..".Welcome to Fallen...the Oasis of the Desert"

Joshmom that visit went by fast up glad you won't have to wait as long the next time!!!

Got an email, my AT is staying longer on the carrier, he got approval as he wants to stay and visit the next port...he is excited about staying...

joshmom:  Yes, he left today for Fallon, NV.  I told him you ladies referenced it as an "Oasis in the Desert - NOT". I know he has been a little bored so far, but this being his first command I know he is excited.  Thanks for your good wishes!  I will keep everyone posted.

Matt's Mom:  Yes, thank your son for his service.  I hope he got everything he wanted from his training in the Navy.  Best of everything in his future!

candirad - It's always exciting to finally be out of school and off to their first command.  I hope your son likes Fallon. Best of luck to him.

Matt's Mom - So nice of you to stop in.  I remember when your son got married.  Please give him a huge Thank You for his service and I wish him well in all his future endeavors.  Take care and God bless you and your family.

Our Navy journey will be coming to an end next month.  My son has served 6 years and has decided not to re-up. He has learned a lot and seen places he never would have otherwise (some good some not so good).  Navy for Moms was a life saver when my son first enlisted and I am so glad to have had the opportunity to meet some wonderful people on this site and wish each and everyone of you and your sailor the best.

Joshmom:  That is so great that you had a nice visit with your son and now he is safely back in Japan.  In one week my sailor is going to be leaving to Fallon, NV.  I was spoiled having him so close for the last few months while he was in school, but I know he's ready to go.  It's still a drivable distance; about 5 hours I think, so I will be able to do a drive up there.  Take care!
