Just left the airport seeing my son off to A-school. Graduation was yesterday so I only got to spend a few hours with him. He had watch last night so our day was cut short but we made the best of it.
NovaMom, yes I do. My son has been in Pensacola since April. Unfortunately after trying 3 times he was removed from that rate and re rated. He has been in holding since 9/15. He just called 5 min ago to tell me he is classing up tomorrow. He has been doing barrack support most of the time. It has been a roller coaster ride for him. Hope this is the "perfect" fit for him. Good luck with the wait.
Has anyone else had a sailor in holding in A school after failing? I'm trying to find out what to expect. Thanks.
My son is there also. He arrived on 10/4. He said it is very different because at boot camp, someone told you what to do 24/7. He seems to have settled in and has learned what time he can get haircuts, get his mail, eat, etc.
My son is in A school at Groton Conn. Anyone else have a son at Groton or had a son already go through Groton that can offfer advice on getting thorugh A School?
do they get to have their cell phones in A school?
Hi Jaron's Mom, we haven't heard from you in awhile and you and your son have been on my heart. How is he doing? How are you doing?
My son will be graduating boot camp on 10Oct and will be heading to Pensacola Florida for A school. We are excited to see him on Friday and spend some time with him. He has already wrote and told us he will be leaving for A school the day after graduation. Wish we had more time to be together before he leaves for A school.
Can anyone tell me if there is a group for the Yeoman A school at Meridian?
