My son just graduated 8/8/2014. He is at A school at great lakes. Is any body else's son there?
Hi Ladies. I've been reading your posts about all the schools your sons and daughters are going to and most of you probably don't know at this point where their permanent duty station will be, but I just wanted to let all you moms know that if they ever get stationed in the Norfolk/Virginia Beach area in VA., I thought I'd let you know that my husband and I have been inviting sailors (and soldiers and Marines) over to our home for the last 14 years to give them a place to go on the weekends and hang out, play board games and of course we feed them! :) My husband is a retired Navy Chaplain (also spent his first 10 years enlisted) so we have a heart for the military. You can check out our page on this website or go to our website at www.openbibleministries,com to see all the things we do together.

I just wanted to thank all the mom's who told their Sailors that my son was at Goose Creek. Your son's found mine and made him feel so welcome and wanted, even though he was a month late getting there. You are wonderful people and angels to my son and I. : ) Thank you.
Update, my Sailor flies to SC on Monday.
It's official, my Sailor FINALLY gets to move onto A school!!! He called late last night to let me know. Now we just wait to find out when they will send him. Hopefully it's in the next couple of days. Thank you all for your prayers and well wishes. : )
Okay, so I finally heard from Eric and we still don't know anything. They drew his blood this morning and told him to come back on Monday to get the results. Don't they understand that his mother is going crazy!! LOL So need to learn how to get into "Navy" mode. : ) I'm still not good at this hurry up and wait stuff.
Eric's Mom - you have my prayers - may the best come to you and your son.
Okay, tomorrow's the day . . . Eric goes to the Dr. to find out if he's cleared to move onto "A" school. So I'm asking for prayers and good thoughts to be sent out for him, please. : )
