when can you visit when they ae in A school
hello all!!
if you are going to boot camp graduation, the navy lodge is a nice place to stay. they have breakfast in a bag. you can pick them up in the morning on your way out at the front counter. cant remember what time they have them ready for pick up though. our son had to show his military ID while we were there.
I figured that the flight was early.. I guess I need to check out Skype..
I hope we can see him off I will have his cell phone and ipod..I'm not going to sent PS3 down there..he needs to study! I got a meeting the middle of May at Gulf Shores..so I thought I would try to see him then if I can. I saw that they have a Navy Lodge close by..That might be nice to stay over there for a day or two. (when it is aloud)
His flight left at 7AM but he was on a bus to the airport at 1:00AM. They have a USO at the O'Hare that the kids hung out at that were there really early. They had computer access and stuff. We met him at around 5AM at the airport and spent about an hour with him. If we wanted to go into the security area with him we could have, they will give you a pass but I felt that he just wanted some time before getting on the plane and I didn't want to cry in front of him (again) so we said our goodbye's at the gate. I'm crying just thinking about it and it was a month ago. It's great now though, we Skype, text, Facebook, talk almost everyday. It's a lot different than bootcamp for sure.
Well I hope that we will see him at the airport..do you recall how early his flight was I know their will be different times just wondering..I so nerved up about graduation. But we new mom for A school. It help in the planning process for ya'll input.
Thanks!
lbr...we met our son at the airport the next day to say bye and gave him his cell phone then. He won't be able to have his truck I don't believe until C school but I could be wrong. I know one of his BC buddies bought a car but had to put it in storage.
My son rank is AM and I just finished reading about PNS wow my son is really going to love this place.. Thanks again for all info..It really helps us moms to understand the Military life.
