my guy just got to pensecola last week.
I'm wondering for my thanksgiving break if I go out there if he could stay over night after his duty on the weekdays. And on the weekends. And what kind of kitchen appliances are in the motel thing on base? I want to cook some thanksgiving food maybe. It's our daughters first thanksgiving and I refuse for him to miss it!

Thank you all for the comments!  He is amazed at all the communication on this site!  I think he's thinking he's not gonna get rid of me because he's leaving for boot camp (he's right about that! - I'm gonna know everything he's doing! - LOL -- because of this wonderful site!)

Hi wranglermom, my daughter is in ms for a school, she has. Computer cell phone, no tv in room, but once she phased up, could wear civilian clothes. They have access to the rec center, have pizza delivered lol, can have off base liberty on weekends if she doesn't have watch. I talk to her daily, have skyped her, so lots of freedom. I got her a data plan on her smartphone so she can hotspot her computer in her room. She has a fridge and microwave in her room. From the Skype tour of her room, its like a college dorm room. She took a few days to get used to the real world again, but she loves a school. Tell your son, there's a light at the end of the bc tunnel :)

Wranglermom, my sailor has been in A school for 9 days now. He is allowed, TV, computer, phone, x-box :), DVD player even. They can have civillian clothes and food from home ! They have liberty everyday after 15:00 hours and weekends! My son is in San Antonio, TX. I would double check once he is at Nuke to be sure their schedules run the same. But for the most part my son has daily communication with us and the outside world!

My son is wondering what "perks" he will have once he goes to A school.  He will either be in Great Lakes after boot camp (STG) AEF, or he will go to Nuke.  He just wants to know if he'll have access to TV (in his room?), computer, cell, etc.  Thanks to anybody who can help this young man see through the fog of all this stuff!
