I got a second letter today.  I was on cloud nine after the first one yesterday and getting a phone call~ I wasn't expecting this one!  What a surprise!  I feel like I'm so blessed today!

A little extra anointing ... I like how that sounds.  And I know they are being held up because we are strong enough to take it, right?  I'll go with that.

Pennny NOOOOOOOO!  Ok, then there is no hope for me either!  As Scarlett O'Hara would say "Tomorrow is another day!"  Let's pray REAL HARD for tomorrow, Penny.

Finally received two letters!! One was dated 12/5 & 12/15.   They both are lengthy with lots of info!  I was so thrilled! I think he probably could have heard me screaming all the way from Texas!!! A call and two letters in two days!!!  I am walking on cloud nine!!!!  It was definately worth the wait!

  • ASMO - Assignment Memorandum - to be sent back in recruit training. RDC's (Recruit Division Commander - The Navy's version of the 'drill sergeant') frequently threaten their Division with being ASMO'd. Recruits do get ASMO'd for disciplinary or medical, or because a recruit has not passed a test.

  • Another version:  OK well i graduated boot camp on july 4th. So i will give you my Definition of ASMO anyway if you like it add it as a best answer. Well Boot camp was seven weeks for me. It is usually 8 depending on what type of division you are in. The first week is p days they call it they are really the worst. Its because they are so boring. You have to get up at like 5 in the morning and wait all day for medical and dental checks for about 7 days actually week days weekends we did other ****. It was actually kinda cool because since no one was medically cleared they couldn't beat us as we called it or i mean "it" which is intensive training. SO for the first week we all thaught boot camp was easy Basques we did no actually physical training. Anyway after that they beat us pretty bad. But yea asmo was one of the most feared words. Especially towards weeks five and six. The RDCs would threaten to asmo us for stupid ****. If you got caught hooking up with a girl you would be asmoe'd back to p days imagine that it happened to my Friend in boot camp and i felt bad. But most recruits get asmoed due failure of there Pfa of physical fitness assessment. They would amso you back two weeks so you would have more time to get ready for it.
