ACTmom, I got ur message!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!! I LOVE YOU!
I just knew our kids would know each other!! Thank you for ALL the wonderful info! You made my heart feel so much lighter! I will wait for my daughters call, so glad your son said she's doing well! She was so pumped about bc, i didn't think she was one of the rebels! She wanted to be a leader! I will tell her yell louder while they march! I'm such a proud Navy Mom!
I will write you privately!!! Again, Thank you for taking the phone time with your son to ask all about my child! You are a beautiful person!
I sent you a message Alisha. My son and I talked about your daughter a bit, and he gave me some information that I told you in that message. He got a lot of time on the phone too, because he was able to call me and his dad and his brother for a little while. He is grad and go to Pensacola, so I won't get much time with him on Friday. I think that he said that he leaves out early Sat., so I forgot about asking about waiting at the airport. I was so excited to hear his voice, everything just seemed to run together. He said that there are several that just won't lay down their civilian ways and shut up and do what they are told, no matter if they are yelled at, punished, or given encouragement. It is driving him crazy because he's section leader, and has gotten a lot of "beatings" already because of it. I hope they all get it together for Battle Stations. He's hanging in there though, and said that he will continue to do his best!
So happy for you ACTmom!! Do you know if the whole division is calling? I'm dying over here!!
I got a double blessing today, because I got a phone call too!!! Oh, he sounded so great on the phone!!! What a lovely day this has been today!
One more thing, she says cards that play music, recorded messages or make any noise what so ever are not allowed, good thing she told me because I was already thinking about those. They are running low in paper, stamps and envelopes, they have been writing every sunday so we should be getting tons of letters soon.
Hello every one, I am sa happy as can be!!!! My daughter called today, we talked for about 30 minutes, she was able to talk that long because she aced a test last week, she told me wish one but I was so excited I forgot. She says boot camp is not as hard as she expected. She sounded so upbeat and positive she wants pictures of the family and the pets. She was sitting in the phone booth and realized she was crossing her legs, she hadn't done that in 3 weeks, LOL. She struggles getting ready in the morning, one her shipmates shared a valuable tip, she takes her cloths off without undoing the buttons but that creates static in her hair. Many people had told her not to volunteer for anything, including me. But she has been volunteering a lot she says and she loves doing that.
I am so happy and proud, I knew she was strong but I guess not how strong she is.
I hope you guys got your phone calls, oh we got a letter address to one of her brothers.
Can't wait to hear what yours have to say, blessings.
Div 55 is also calling home today!!!
Penny & Alisha I am praying that you get calls as well. My son called me at 4:17 p.m. EST, so hopefully you will hear from your children as well. I do know that letters are on the way too! My son said he sent letters this past Sunday. I have not received one yet, mail is slow.
Joan, I would take it just in case.
JoansJ - TAKE HIS PHONE AND HAVE IT CHARGED FOR HIM AFTER PIR. Trust me..he'll want it!
