Div. 54! I GOT MAIL!!!!!!!!!! WOOHOO!!! It never felt so good! I'll share..... he says that it's been hell and thanks God for Sundays, as they get holiday routine from 0700-1300 which allows them to go to church and straighten away their racks. He says that everyone has been sick and it has been running everyone down. His division isn't coming together really well I guess, because he says that they haven't been receiving their mail because of it. He's crazy about his camos~ thinks they are awesome! LOL! Is ready to come home! If he wrote this on Sunday, then they had their swim test, 1.5 mile, 50 situps, 50 pushups on Monday, because he said "tomorrow" in his letter. Says to pray because he is pretty sick and very sore(never listened to me about doing some conditioning before he left) and wants to pass! Well, that's it ladies! Keep your heads up! The mail IS coming! I hope that you all get blessed today!!
my boyfriend left november 22. he didnt arrive in chicago until 4 am the 23rd. so i dont really know when his p-days started. but he said they kept him back four days for t-days because of thanksgiving.
Audra, when did your husband leave?
thank you nicole...its us in a NUT shell!
Oh Nicole, thank you for sharing!!! As I sit here going thru the mundane everyday things and watch the clock tick on the wall, I cant help but think how fast paced my sons life is right now. Up at 5:30am and going, going, going until 9:30pm. Exhausted after a long day of I.T.. I pray he sleeps well and stays physically, mentally and emotionally strong.
They got on the bus & away they went,
They stepped on base, and the "kid - in - a - box" was sent.
A quick call home to say they've arrived,
Immediately after we all felt deprived.
One long week of P-DAYS and not a word,
Navy For Moms is sad, LET US BE HEARD!
On to week two and letters are being written,
When we recieve them we're certainly smitten!
Now to week three the yelling begins,
Recruits learn the ropes and are at wits ends.
When week four rolls around it begins to quiet down,
PFA's are in route & Uniforms are brought into "bootcamp - town".
Week five is here,
& Live fire is near.
Hooyah week six - we're almost there,
The Confidence Chamber & Fire Fighting, oh what a pair.
Finally week seven and coming to a close,
Battle Stations is here, and each division rose.
Week eight is the last, and that's all I can say,
NOW TO GET READY FOR PIR DAY!
The SAILORS march in and you begin to shed a tear,
They're so close, they're so near.
The band begins to play,
You're in shock at how still they stay.
"NOW HEAR THIS, NOW HEAR THIS, LIBERTY CALL!"
Everyone rushes down, & try not to fall!
Searching for your Sailor is one tough task,
Amongst those who scatter, you find yours alast!
As you leave the base to have a fun day,
You look up to God, sit there and pray.
Thank you lord for helping them through,
It's been tough for us, but we made it too.
You've blessed us here on this site.
We can't thank you enough, you showed us the light.
Something I did for a school poetry project, thought it may give you a feel for what happens during the weeks, and how exciting it is:)
So that is division 55 and 56 that now are receiving letters ... congrats and can you please share!!! At least let us in on what they have to say ... anything about their daily life, food, sleep, testing, etc. Inquiring minds are desperate to know.
congrats Kimbv!!
