Thought it might be nice for everybody to say where they are staying for PIR as a means of knowing who will be in the same place, taking the shuttles, carpooling, etc. and maybe even getting together…Continue

Thought it would be great to learn where everybody's sailor is heading to after PIR. This can be a great way to open new conversations at the M&G and also make new friends that will be going…Continue

This is the final test for the recruits before they become sailors. It is an overnight drill held on a ship replica made by Disney, so it is very realistic....the recruits face every challenge that…Continue

The last words that my son said to me in the last hug was, "Mom, please keep me in your prayers." He knew that it would be a difficult road but he also knew that he would be in good Hands. He knew that God would keep him safe and the prayers of his mother would be heard. I am so thankful that so many on here are also believers in the Almighty Love of God and the sacrifice the He gave of His only son. ACT, thank you so much for your wisdom and sharing...yes, I have tears streaming down my face just imagining God's own arms wrapped around my son keeping him safe giving him strength. What a wonderful visual that is.
I hope we can have the opportunity to meet at the M&G in Waukegan - will need to put your N4M's name on the tag so we know who each other really is!!! lol I want to personally meet you and give you a big hug for helping me to keep my perspective aimed in the right direction.
Noticed some new names and wanted to repost the link to a small group of moms that have rcts in Ship11 Div 058 http://www.navyformoms.com/group/ship11div058
I too am anxious to hear from my son, I'm hoping a letter will release me from this funk I seem to be stuck in. I'm strugling to keep to my head up and stay positive. I truly appreciate the words of encouragement you all post here.
GoldenGator. I went through some things with my kids several years ago, and do you know that God told me that He loved them more than me? I couldn't believe that! I thought, who could love them more than me? Well, He does, and He has truly shown me that time and time again, so it has made it much easier for me to hand my son over to Him. Sometimes when I pray I feel God's arms wrapping around me and holding me, and so I pray for Him to let my son feel those same arms wrapped around him during this time, encouraging him, strengthening him and giving him bold determination to succeed! Praying too for all of you moms, that God will strengthen and encourage all of you this week, especially with a letter or a phone call! We are almost half way through now. We can do this, especially when we continue to encourage each other. I don't think that I could have stood this strong if it hadn't been for all of you this past week! Thank you and God bless you all!
And our kids will not have to go through anywhere near what Jesus had to.
Thanks for the perspective, GoldenGator.
GoldenGator, you know you're not alone..all I can think is our ship and division wasn't able to write last weekend. I'm HOPING and PRAYING they got to write this past Sunday.. We shall see..Thank you for the words and encouragement, for I feel the same way. I've done all I can do, the rest is in God's hands....
GoldenGator...AMEN GIRL! For God loves our children even more than we do, hard to believe that could be, but very true!
Deana, I have even taken the little 3x5 note card and have it stuck in my wallet just as a reminder of the heart with I love you, Mom !!! I totally understand your heartache as mine aches with you as we continue to await ship 11's mail and calls.
