Thought it might be nice for everybody to say where they are staying for PIR as a means of knowing who will be in the same place, taking the shuttles, carpooling, etc. and maybe even getting together…Continue

Nicole, heard from another one in the same division that wrote on his form letter that they were still in P-days and wouldn't actually start training until 12/8.  He got there on 11/24 !!!!  NUTS, could have had the kid home mowing grass or working on the car I say.

Penny - they may be still in PDAYS, if they haven't filled their DIV yet, so maybe still in holding. don't worry:)

I'm convinced ship 11 is out to get us moms !!!!  Trying to break us down like as if we're recruits or something.  I'm  just sure of it.  And trust us when we say that there are many of us from ship 11 that will shout it from the roof tops when the day comes that we get either mail or a phone call.  Pretty bad when so many others are getting mail and phone calls when we've not seed or heard anything.  Joan, Marchel, Cindy ...I DO FEEL YOUR PAIN !!!

patti302-my son is ship11/div053 and same here, no calls or letters yet.  Just the “kid in the box-no kid” and the form letter.  Ugh!  I feel your pain, we are miserable here!  The weather is just awful there so I’m hoping that is contributing to the delay with phone calls and mail.  We have sent tons of mail too!  It’s three weeks today exactly since he left.  If you hear from your SR please let us know!  At this point any news is so welcome!

Yes Joan. my daughter is on Ship 11 DIV 54. Still waiting here also. Just want a letter saying she is ok and I will feel much better!

Patti - letters seem to take longer to get to them than to get to us, it's an overlapping period, alot of mail, alot of sorting.

It's been what seems like forever since my daughter left for boot camp.  We have not gotten a phone call or letter yet and it's just killing me!  We were very close.  I got the "form letter" with her address on it, but no responses back from the letter we've sent.  Has anyone heard from anyone from Ship 11 Div 053?

Hi moms just reading your comments. Congratulations to all of you who have received phone calls and letters. I wish that I was hearing something from my son. I am trying my best to be patient but it is wearing thin. Lala I tried to friend request you because I would like to buy a ribbon to wear at pir could you please friend request me so that I can get the info I need to order. Hang in there everyone I am trying and I need you all to be strong for me. I know I sound selfish right now but I am in mental agony just waiting to hear from my son. I don't know what is going on with ship 11 but it is getting very frustrating.

Penny, I am so sorry. I checked back all the way to Thanksgiving and have no comments or messages from you and when I went to send you a message I had to add you as a friend so I know I haven't gotten an email on N4M's. But, I did just now send you a friend request. Send me a message back and I will send you the info for the ribbons. :)

The phone call question is always so popular...there is just no rhyme or reason to the phone calls...it is like jessica says they may be promised a call and then as they screw up and they will...it is often taken away...little by little until there is nothing left...so just keep your phone with you at all times, hope for the best, be prepared that the only call you will get is after battlestations and then when it does come....SURPRISE!!!
