Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

I will never ever forget waiting for the mail to run, why did mine have to come so late in the afternoon? And having my phone stuck in my bra lol for weeks so I wouldn't miss a call. Then when that first call finally did come and I saw the umber I looked at the phone and said to my family Oh my, I think it's her and the phone still ringing and me admiring the number, Phil finally laughed and said don't you think you should answer it? I was so excited to get that call that I completely lost my mind for a few seconds. :-) Enjoy your letters and calls and write, write, write.

My kids had a snow day today and another tomorrow. We spent most of the day making Christmas gifts for family members and we watched a couple of movies. I was even able to get some late order ribbons in the mail for next weeks PIR. If anyone still wants ribbons to wear to PIR and has not placed an order send me a friend request and I will send you the info. I hope you all have a great night.

Afraid to see what my son will end up looking like as went in with plenty of room in his 6'2" big boned build to add muscle to.
