Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

His sister sent two very old pictures when they were young. He said it made him cry. Reminders of home! So if you havent sent a pix, might be a good idea to send one.

Jessica: I'll be staying at the Ramada. As long as I see my boy I dont care what it smells like, I would sleep on a strangers couch if I had to. I worry about hitchhiking from the airport in case I get stranded because of the snow. I WILL BE THERE!!

Comment by SANDY ship07div056 on December 13, 2010 at 7:01pm: He says its the coldest place hes ever been too. Has 90 seconds to dress in the mornings. I laughed out loud on that one. Turtlenecks, camo, lace up boots, all in 90 seconds. He wants stamps and envelopes, has enough paper. He sent his ID, the one they got the night of processing when they got no sleep. Said it was taken about hour 38 with no sleep. I held it to my heart and cried. He looked like a scared little boy ~ but hes over that part now. Its all good!
