Thought it might be nice for everybody to say where they are staying for PIR as a means of knowing who will be in the same place, taking the shuttles, carpooling, etc. and maybe even getting together…Continue

Is any one having the same feelings as me? I am so torn on this holiday as far as being in the xmas spirit. I want to enjoy this time with my husband and son but i miss my daughter so much. she was always the one to get me in the holiday mood in the past and now i have to rely on myself to do it and i just can't seem to be in it. I haven't done any xmas shopping and have no decorations up in the house. my son's girlfriend put the tree up and has lights on it but no ornaments. I have been extremely sick the past week and hope that it gets better next week. was hoping for a letter or call this week but nothing. i hope that something comes soon. am feeling a slight case of depression. anyone else?
No mail here today - we're having a blizzard.
Alisha no mail here today either, no phone call nothing but continued worry and lonliness. Wishing and wondering. What an emotional roller coaster.
In some cases you are Kac...Some cases. If you have the money, and time to stay til monday, i don't see how it could hurt. If your Sailor is gonna be on hold, or in GL A school, you may get time with them. You won't know until that weekend though..that's the sucky part about it. If you do stay an extra day, and your Sailor is NOT able to see you, there is always something to do in Chicago. Never really a dull moment. they have the aquarium, science and industry museum, field museum, navy pier(could be a little cold for that) movie theaters, gurnee(not far from GL) has a massive mall. volo car museum. they have ALOT of stuff to keep you busy! The shopping is great!
question does anyone know if it would be better to stay still monday for pir or should i fly out sunday, im not sure if your aloud to have your sailor till sunday.
No mail for me today...Ugh
Congratulations to all of you who have received phone calls. Hopefully it will pass on to the rest of us soon.
Yeah, they pull everyones wisdom teeth who hasn't had them already pulled, it's PAINFUL. They do it because most of the time, wisdom teeth cause ALOT of pain later on, depending on how they grow in and such, but they remove them so that problem is taken care of then and there.
Denise, yeah, would be nice to have a letter rerouted back to us just to have mail BUT can't do that when we've not even received a single piece of mail yet, huh? Seems not all divisions are equal on phone calls or mail or much of anything. Not being negative but i have to agree with Lynn, a couple pages back, where she says they have a whole new crop of RDCs and there isn't any rhyme or reason to all the things that, in the past, used to have more of a schedule.
So, ladies ... for those of us, and there are many, that have received no calls or letters ... we must hang tight. Yesterday was my most down day in a week but for today, I am ready to tackle it head on.
i think they pull them now just incase their teeth start bothering them later, like on a ship were it would be harder to handle. so they just get it outta the way asap.
