Thought it might be nice for everybody to say where they are staying for PIR as a means of knowing who will be in the same place, taking the shuttles, carpooling, etc. and maybe even getting together…Continue

Thought it would be great to learn where everybody's sailor is heading to after PIR. This can be a great way to open new conversations at the M&G and also make new friends that will be going…Continue

This is the final test for the recruits before they become sailors. It is an overnight drill held on a ship replica made by Disney, so it is very realistic....the recruits face every challenge that…Continue

Very well said Penny, so often we forget about the sacrifices made by those who wait at home.
And, if possible I would love for each of you to say a prayer for my sailor. She graduated c-school today and joined her new command. It doesn't look like she will get to come home for Christmas and I know there are lots of sailors who are in the same "boat" so to speak. However, she is also one of those who is waiting for her sailor husband to come home as well. So it will be very hard for a young bride who won't be able to spend Christmas with her husband and also won't be able to come home to her family. She is trying very hard to be strong and holding on to the hope that it still could work out. So when you say your prayers put in a little extra word for her and all the others who find themselves in this situation. Thanks so much, Lala
No mail for me today :((((
So happy for you Kac!!! :))))))
No mail from Ship 11 Div 057 today :-(
Yay! I'm so happy for you Kac. I can't wait til I go home and look in the mailbox! I'm not getting my hopes up, though! I'm glad that someone is getting mail!
And I bet that was his first 8 page letter he's EVER written. LOL That's very funny about the nice handwriting and how it relates to bathrooms. But not so funny about banging his head hard on the top bunk. I am sure they are so exhausted that when someone comes in screaming at them they don't hardly have a clue where they are at.
So glad you got mail today, Kac, and praying that many more moms, wives and girlfriends will get lucky today as well.
Congrats Kac!!!
got an 8 page letter today ladies! my guy is in charge of cleaning the bathrooms and keeping watch because he had nice handwriting lol. he says its not to bad they dont even have to march alot because the snow on the gorund! he said there was like 88 people in his disision, thats a lot of christmas cards, also he thinks theres gonna be calls next week but wasn't sure!
He said the first night they got to sleep he was on the bottom bunk and the rdc came yelling in and he banged his head so hard on the top bunk lol, hope you guys are getting mail! it was dated the 5th
Lynne- When my brother was there he had the same problem, 1/2 his division was getting mail and half was not so they had a sorting error. I understand the cutting the apron strings theory but sometimes it is plain human error as well!
The manilla envelope has to be addressed to your recruit...then inside the envelopes can be addressed to any recruit, BUT your recruit will have to hand them out....
