While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

When I talked to my son yesterday, he said that he really wanted his youngest brother and sister at grad. I wasn't going to bring them for this reason, because my ex and his girlfriend will be there too, and if there are limits, then I don't want to have to worry what to do with them then. The USO girl said that she didn't think that would be too many people since there are kids involved, but she couldn't give me a for sure answer either.

He said he understood why someone would fall asleep during it. Thank God he waited until AFTERWARDS when he was on the pot! LOL! So, if that's your worst worry, I say, DON'T WORRY!!

Ok, while we are all waiting..... does anyone know if there is a limit to how many people they will let wait with our SAILORS at the airport. I called the USO at O'Hare, and she couldn't give me a "for sure" answer about this. Suggested that I look for a "nice" person to ask once we get to the airport, or to call the airline and ask them. Does the Navy always use the same airline, and if so , does anyone know what airline that may be?
