Thought it might be nice for everybody to say where they are staying for PIR as a means of knowing who will be in the same place, taking the shuttles, carpooling, etc. and maybe even getting together…Continue

Mine was American as well...but I haven't ever found that info, and I did look when I was hoping to see my son after MEPS.

Mine will be going to Pensacola.  When I talked to my son yesterday, he said that he really wanted his youngest brother and sister at grad.  I wasn't going to bring them for this reason, because my ex and his girlfriend will be there too, and if there are limits, then I don't want to have to worry what to do with them then.  The USO girl said that she didn't think that would be too many people since there are kids involved, but she couldn't give me a for sure answer either.

ACT, with regard to which airlines .... I think it depends on where they are headed to.  When my son left Seattle to head to GL, he went American but not sure that really means anything.

I know that all of your recruits are going to be ok today!  My son really talked about how boring the BS was.  He said he understood why someone would fall asleep during it. Thank God he waited until AFTERWARDS when he was on the pot! LOL!  So, if that's your worst worry, I say, DON'T WORRY!!

Ok, while we are all waiting.....  does anyone know if there is a limit to how many people they will let wait with our SAILORS at the airport.  I called the USO at O'Hare, and she couldn't give me a "for sure" answer about this.  Suggested that I look for a "nice" person to ask once we get to the airport, or to call the airline and ask them.  Does the Navy always use the same airline, and if so , does anyone know what airline that may be?

Good one, Sandy.  Love the Pledge of Allegiance and anytime is the perfect time to be reminded.  And Sandy, did you mean THIS PIR page or is there another one that my brain isn't thinking about this morning?

karl ... you better not forget that phone !!

While all of you are waiting, please repeat after me:

I pledge allegiance,
To the flag,
Of the United States Of America,

And to the republic,
For which it stands,
One nation,
Under God,
Indivisible,
With Liberty,
And Justice for all

HooYah!

Waiting... tick, tock, tick, tock, hand wringing, nervous hanging onto phone, praying, at work, can't think. ;-)

I really am not worried about anything...except possibly walking off without my phone. As sure as my son was when I talked to him...I owe him the respect to be just as confident in him as he is himself.
