Just found out that my daughter is definitely leaving on July 16 for bootcamp. She had been talking to them about different jobs and she just called me that she did get confirmation that she will going to MA school after bootcamp. She is very excited and I am sure nervous but it is what she has really wanted to do. Can't believe that my girl is definitely on her way now! Any MA moms out there?? Gosh, I know these weeks will fly until she is on her way.

TwoForTheNavy,

My officer daughter is in flight training in Pensacola.  Her sister was stationed at Kitsap, WA.  Son is in Norfolk.

Thank you for the information Pat and Anna. Yes Anna, my daughter is an officer on the USS Stout, and my son is currently in A school in Texas soon to be stationed in Maryland for a shore duty.
Where is your daughter stationed?

TwoForTheNavy,

That discussion about getting pictures at the NEX was on the Moms of Officers page.  So you have an officer daughter and an enlisted son?  I do also.  I also have a daughter who enlisted and is now in the ready reserve.  Where is your daughter now?

Comment by TwoForTheNavy on June 3, 2013 at 11:45am
Was it on this site I saw your child can go to the NEX and have a picture taken in uniform? My daughter was NROTC in college and went straight to her ship after that so I do not have a picture of her in her uniform. My son went thru Great Lakes and I have a picture of him, so I would love one of my daughter in uniform too.
