Hi Scuttlebutts,
Did you all have a nice weekend? I did. I had a date with my boyfriend Saturday night. We just hung-out at his house for a while. It is somewhat of a long-distance relationship, he lives about an 1 1/2 hour drive away. So anytime I get to see him is great. He lives near my Mom, so I spent the night at my Mom's, then went to a family party on Sunday. My step-niece's son was home from the Army for a visit, boy he looked so handsome in his uniform! And he lost 45 lbs during BC. Next he is going to NC, he is hoping to secure family housing so his wife and baby can finally join him. ~ Vicky aka Chrissy's Mom

Good morning friends,
I am hanging in there, thanks for asking Jeannie-re. I am having a couple of friends over for dinner tonight, so I need to clean, go shopping and bake. I also need to make some potatoe salad for the M&G in Nevada city, CA tomorrow. It will be fun to meet some Navy Moms in person since I did not make it to Flanagan's on PIR weekend. But I did meet one N4Ms on the Metra train. That was cool!
Trying to get my 13 year old daughter to go with me tomorrow, she doesn't really want to but she said she would go to support her sister.
Do you all like my new profile pic?

For once I have no plans for the weekend. Maybe my boyfriend will call with something good to do. A girl can always hope!
What are you all doing this Labor Day weekend?

I managed to cry only a couple of times. Chrissy doesn't like it when I cry. Got a call from her yesterday she is on hold for two months untill A school starts. But she gave me her new address so I can send her packages now.

Hi Scuttlebutt Moms,
I am back in CA! I had a wonderful weekend at PIR. I have to say I am a not a big department store shopper, am a Wal-Mart girl. I enjoyed shopping at the NEX on base the most, everything is so cheap. And I got a lot of Navy souvenirs. We went to the Gurnee Mills Mall, but I didn't buy anything there. We also went into downtown Chicago on Saturday, I bought just a few small souvenirs at the shops on the Navy Pier. We did a lot of walking, riding in taxis, buses, trains and planes. I, my grandson and Chrissy had a great time. For more about my weekend please read my blog. ~ Vicky

Good Morning Scuttlebutts,
Plans for the weekend? Going to Great Lakes for PIR!!! I was so excited when she called yesterday and said the magic words " I am a Sailor." I jumped put of my seat, screamed, and did a happy dance. Ok, got it out of my system, now, will be able to behave myself during the ceremony, tomorrow.
Flying out this afternoon with my grandson. I will be back online Monday. I hope you all have a good weekend. Navy Hugss ~ Vicky

It is not to hard to upload photos, look under the ghost head where it says mange my profile or photo, click on photo. A page comes click on the browse button pick any photo from your harddrive and upload it. Or ask any computer geek for help! I am single, I went back to college to learn some computers. So I don't have to ask my kids for help anymore.
