Hi Moms,
Well, we don't have any malls in Amador County. Just good old Wal-Mart. It is an hour drive to the city to shop in a mall. Marsha's Dad volunteered to take her Clothes shopping, so I just have to get school supplies. She starts 8th grade on the 19th. My Mom will be coming up to watch her on the 20th when I leave for GL. Just a few more days! My grandson's father called me last night and we made all the arrangements so I will be taking him to GL wit me. In Chrissy's last latter she was worried he would change his mind, but he hasn't. I am just trying to busy until then. I have a Christian Singles group meeting tonight. No Plans for Saturday, just hang-out with Marsha. Sunday my Mom is coming up and going to church with me, then we will go to Lake Camanche for the afternoon.
What are your plans for the weekend?

Dear Scuttlebutts,
Wisdom from your elders is always a good thing to follow. My grandparents lived into their 90's. My Uncle wrote a book of their life together. Wonderful book to have. He is a journalist, so he interviewed them alto before they died, using a tape recorder. Wrote the book using some of the money from the estate, using LifeStory Books to print it, it is a hard cover book. Treasured book, I have one copy and each of my children have a copy.
My plans for the weekend; going to Modesto to visit my best friend Renne. What are all you other Scuttlebutts doing this weekend?

Good morning Scuttlebutts,
I lost 29 lbs, just to get to the same size that I was 10 years ago, the last time I went to a Reunion. I hope I can keep the weight off now. I wore a classy black cocktail dress that my Mom bought me three years ago. It was a little loose since I had lost all that weight! I ws nervous before I left becasue my boyfriend didn't come with me, so I had to go alone. The first 2 people asked me where my husband was, I said that I divorced him three years ago. After that it was fun. There were some others that are single, too. I only had one drink as I had to drive home. I am very glad that I went. Our class also invited people from other years to get the numbers up, to where it is worthwhile to do it. We about 80 people there. Yes, they did the golf thing but I only went to the dinner. Our class presdent is very good, he organizes a reunion every five years.
Sunday, I went to church and then helped chaporene the youth group trip to Lazer tag. I played with the kids, it was fun. My youngest is 13, so she is in the youth group, and her boyfriend came, so she was happy. It was a good weekend.

God Morning Kathleen,
Thanks for inviting me to your group. I am single and therefore a Scuttlebutt too!
Last night I went to my 30th HS Reunion at Saddle Creek Resort near Angels Camp, CA. It was fun, good food, good company, a very nice resort.
I am looking forward to going to Great Lakes in less than three weeks!
The best thing about being a Navy Mom is the pride. I am so proud of my Navy girl, she is carrying on the military tradition of her grandfather (my father) who served in the Army. - Vicky
