OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Helping one another...like my buddy Travis, who is a Viet Nam vet...he sees young vets and tells them to "call somebody, talk it out...call somebody, here's my number if you don't have anyone to call, call me"....

Link to Facebook note of Sen John Tester about Civilian Certificati...

would like to ask a favor. Call or email your local community colleges, universities to find out if they have programs available to vets to obtain civilian certification for the jobs they had in the military. All military, not just Army, not just Navy...I am looking for states with Veterans Licensure and Certification Programs. If they say "no", ask what the procedure is to establish a program...who else to call/email...thank you!!
