Does he have his phone yet.  I asked my SR what he needed and depending on what he was allowed we sent snacks, books he requested and eventually clothes.  No Red Bull or Energy drinks.  Not allowed.

Thank You Chanel, looks like for me BC down and lots more to go! we are hoping that he will be able to come home for the Holidays as A school shuts down, so he said once school is done he may have the time saved to come home for a good week, which we are so happy for this to happen. then who knows what happens after, so I hear some of you Ladies speaking on sending packages, is this like clothing or is this just like munchies or both?

Good morning Ladies, I believe I will also be part of this site as my SR is graduating this friday coming up, He will be staying in Great Lakes for school and will be a EM. he has mentioned that he already met a few great guys that are there for school or in school already. Hoping that this will be a great experience for him. mentioned he doesnt start school until sept. 10 and also mentioned it ends in Dec. so that is a a very long stretch and alot of homework. hopefully he doesnt get to stressed with everything. Great to be here! Have a Great Day!

Thank you so much for all the info.  About how long does it take for the Sailor to get the package.  What have you done regarding Holidays/presents?

Congrats Blackbirdmom! That's great! I'm going to make time to go visit my other sailor in Norfolk soon. Since my other sailor it's still in BC I'm just waiting to hear what is next after Great Lakes.

Our GSE sailor had his PIR 3/31. He is finishing up his A school in the next few weeks and has his orders for joining the USS Chung Hoon in October.

Hi Everyone! My sailors rating is GSE and he will be attending A School at Great Lakes. His PIR is September 1st. This is my second Sailor. My first had his PIR January 6th and his A School was in Pensacola and now he's stationed at Naval Station Norfolk. I'm still adjusting to Navy Flexible as my children are the first in my immediate family to ever serve. I was however an Army Wife for about 3 years. But we were stationed in our home state. Looking forward to learning more about GSE and getting to know the other moms! Hooyah!
