Our son is also at Fallon during September from San Diego. Haven't heard from him lately so assume they're being kept real busy. We're also hoping he gets some leave in November for a family vacation and home for the holidays.
I am around once in a while, our son is in Fallon for a few weeks on a temporary duty. Then back to Whidbey, he was home in June and we hope to have him home for the Holidays this year.
Hi Smile, what's new?
Here!
It's been a few weeks without any activity, so I thought I would say "hello" and see who's around. :)
Thanks so much,this helps alot
Cryburl - You can also bring him his Ipod. Yes I'm in CA. My son took a 10 day leave after A school before heading to Norfolk for C school. Once he's stationed in San Diego, I'll get to see him more often.
Ok, thanks so much, I knew most of that from being on this site, just wasn't sure about electronics, now I know. Do you get to see your son,you are in Ca also.
cryburl - Right after PIR, the sailors will have liberty. You will be able to spend time with him until he has to return back to his shp around 7-8pm (time varies depending on what their RDC tells them). At that time, you'll be able to give him his cell phone, just as long as it is done off base. Once he returns back to base, he can not have the cell phone or laptop. When they leave for their A school (usually the next day), you can give give him his cell and laptop at that point. Along with the cell and laptop, we brought some civies. My son also went to P'cola for A school. He is now in Norfolk for C school and will duty station will be San Diego North Island.
Private msg me if you want to know more detail.
Thanks for the info,we'll go to airport with his stuff, don't want him to get into any trouble!
