I really need any person's help who has been through deployments before. This is my first and I'm at the last stage - where the Sailor is coming home! It's a wonderful feeling, but I'm terribly ....NERVOUS! ANXIOUS!

I was so excited and happy until recently... now it's coming soon and I am getting nervous. I wake with some anxiety, nervousness, and restlessness. Don't get me wrong, I am still excited! But is this normal?

He is my boyfriend and the man who loves me for me. I am so in love with him. I am moving to a new state to his apartment when he comes home. It's a huge change for me; we haven't lived together before, either.  However, I know he is the man for me and we have such a mutual love. We have only been together for just about a year -and a good portion of that was this deployment.

I'm also trying birth control at the moment and the hormones seems to be really messing with my emotions. I just want to know what other people have experienced at this last leg of deployment. I hate feeling anxious, overthinking, worrying, and NOT being super excited as I was a little while ago!

Please help! I really hate feeling this way when I know I love this man and I can't wait for him to be home. =(

During ever deployment you'll hit a stage just like what you are going through. A lot of it has to do with, he's almost home. You're not really sure what to expect and you are both tired of being apart and stressed out. It's definitely normal. We delt with both being in the navy on opposite coasts. Every time I was about to go see him, I'd freak out, and we'd fight a lot. Once we realized why we were fighting, we'd be open about it. I'd tell him, I'm nervous you're going to see me and we aren't going to love eachother anymore.

Being open really helped us. We're coming up on our fourth wedding anniversary and we've delt with seperations and deployments.
