Hello, everyone my name is Amanda. Thank you for joining this group! I have recently went through the whole process of becoming a PROUD NAVY WIFE.  I am starting this group to help all the new spouses on your journey.  Ask me anything!!!!

This is especially for wives, husbands, boyfriends, girlfriends, or fiances.

Everyone has a different experience throughout this whole process.  My husband started signing up in July of 2010 and did not leave for bootcamp until March 29th 2011, so we have pretty much been through a lot this last year and I would love to help everyone that I can understand things that I did not when we first started. He is now in the middle of A-school and I guess so are we.  It has not always been fun, but it is worth it in the end. I say this is especially for spouses becuase pay, and things like that are different for us, but mom, dads and anyone else is more than welcome to join.  I look forward to hearing from everyone, and hope that I can help you along the way.  This page is for newly married about to get married, or just being a new Navy spouse in general.  My husband and I have been together 6 years and married over 2 years now.  We have a 3 year old son.  Watching the children go through this is very difficult because they do not fully understand what is going on.  I am here to help!!!!  I have lots of ideas and experiences to share!!!!

Hi Ladies - I was finally able to jot down some thoughts on surviving bootcamp and I thought some of you might want to read it since I'm sure it mirrors a lot of your own feelings. :o) I'm also looking for some great military wife blogs to follow so please post if you have a good one!! Here's mine! Please follow me if you like what you read! :o)

Ugh this is so frustrating. I seriously hate it. My car payment and insurance are due now. Its $556 in total. I found out that he is having $600 wired to our account here on the 15th of this month, which will cover my car payment and insurance but will only leave $54 in the account. I can't get to his graduation on $54. Ugh. This is not what I imagined navy life being like.

We got Navy Federal. Right now its a pain in the butt for me because there is no bank near me but we do everything online. Once he gets to the first station it should be a lot easier. Im still gonna keep my other bank with the police and Fire credit union, its just a good bank.

Well for us we just do everything online so we don't need an actual bank, but we did make sure they have them out where we are being stationed just in case so yes there are non in Florida but maybe where you will be stationed. Wells Fargo is a good idea too but I'm not sure where they are all at either because I know we don't have any in Michigan so just check where their locations are.

Shockstar-my bf had BofA but hated it. He switched to Wells Fargo at the recommendation of his recruiter. We live in Fl so I know they have them here. They also have a military program although I don't know the details.
