I know the time will come when I won't have all my kids at Christmas but I've been lucky so far. I will gladly take advantage of what I can get! Thanks again.

Thanks so much for the info, I sure appreciate it. You said basically what I was leaning toward. Maybe a 3 day weekend if we can get the time and the holidays. I just wanted to make sure graduation wasn't a big deal. I talked to him today and he is going to plan on coming home when he can at Christmas time and is still deciding about Thanksgiving. I think he was concerned about the cost but I told him we would help him if he wanted to try to get here for both. Although, I see his bank account and he could afford two tickets, haha.

Hi everyone - my son's PIR was 10/08/10 and he was grad and go to Biloxi 10/09/10. Last I heard from him (yesterday) he will not start school til 10/25/10. It's already been pushed back from 10/18/10 so I hope that is when he gets to start. He's too far away for us to visit over a weekend but I want to know about graduation. It seems like not much happens and I'm trying to decide if we should try to make plans for it. We would have to decide soon because it would be a major trip.

I've learned alot reading this site, thanks to all for sharing.

Hi ladies, I wanted to become part of this group a little early. My son won't leave for Biloxi till mid/end of Nov. He's still at Great Lakes but will monitor this site and pick up all the information I can. Is the emblem above the AG's emblem?
Thanks, nola ♥

Hi all been a while since I have been on. Well my AG is in San Diego! arrived last friday . Said the barracks are very nice . They run 4 miles a day . We had a great visit with him ! So hard to say goodbye again knowing it will be a long time before we see him again. I broke down at the airport and he said mom please stop crying. He put his back pack on his back and went through security. I had visions of my sweet little boy going off to kindergarden . My little boy is a MAN !

TN.sailormom'10 : Congrats to your Sailor!!!!!!!!!!!! From what my AG told me, there is a lot of studying involved. Top grads, usually get their top choice, on their duty station.
