My AG was in Biloxi a year ago. He graduated Oct 3rd.  AFter BC he flew out from O'Hare. Got there about 3 am and flew out about 2 pm. His first duty station is Norfolk. He loves the rate and the service. Go Navy AG's!

Our experience was.... They bussed the sailors from boot camp to midway airport about 4 am. We met him there at the airport to see him off. They left around 7 or 8 am. Flew into Gulfport airport (there was a change of aircraft somewhere but I don't remember) where a van shuttled them to keesler. If you need more Info where to stay in Biloxi let me know. BTW my sons first duty station is at Stennis NASA center and based out of Gulfport so he is still in the general area.

I am brand new and have a son at bootcamp right now.  He will be going to A school in Mississipi.  Can anyone tell me what time their kid got to the airport, which airport, and what time they left the airport to fly to A school?

Enjoy PIR, it seems to go really fast!  The best thing about A school for me was the communication was back!  He was able to take his cell and laptop with him, it's surprising how just him having it seemed to make a difference to me.

Hello- My son graduated from A School in Biloxi in October and is now in San Diego. He didn't get his new orders til the end of A school. He lives in dorm type rooms on base with a roommate. So far he is loving San Diego and seems to like the AG job. He is learning a lot and I am amazed at how much he has grown into a great young man. When your son gets to his duty station check on facebook to see if they have a facebook page. I was able to see quite a few pictures of my son from inspections to him working, even pictures from Thanksgiving party which made me so happy that he wasn't alone for the holiday.

Hi Debbie! My son spent 2+ years at Stennis as part of the Fleet Survey Team. I'm curious as to how he knows where he is going already. My son didn't get orders until the end of both A and C schools.  Although, that is one thing I have learned about the Navy, it's always changing!!! He lived off base as soon as he was able so can't give much insight on that. Schools are tough but I guess if you study you do well. I will try to answer questions as best I can. Where are you from?

I joined this group awhile ago, but my son is just now heading to Biloxi.  He leaves next week to begin school there and then will be at the Stennis Space Center.  So any information about the school, area, experience, what they do afterwards would be appreciated!    Thank you!
