Thanks cappsangie!  I appreciate it very much.  Just trying to keep everything in a timeline of sorts.  I am looking forward to seeing him for however long I get after his PIR and then it will be time to make plans for my P'Cola trip.  Cappsangie you must be very proud of your son and his choice.  I too could not be more proud of my sons choices.  These forums encourage me everyday by all the information that is shared here.

Hello everyone, They did send my son to pensacola to A school the day after PIR. When we left the hotel after we left him at the base we were not completly out of Chicago when he called to say he had already landed in Pensacola and was heading to the base. He loved it. He has enjoyed every step he has made in his career choice.

Hello Monica13063,  How exciting for you.  My son is still in BC but getting ready to PIR on 3/15/13.  Did they send your son directly to P'Cola after BC or did he have to wait?  I am planning the same type of trip for when my son gets there as well.  Looks like he will probably be there until about June, so what a perfect time for me to make a trip.  Let me know how your trip goes and maybe post some pictures of how P'Cola looks like today.  The last time I was there was back in 1984.  Have fun!

Hi phloughb. I also have just joined this group. My son arrived in P'cola on Jan 19th for A school for AM. We are heading down to see him at the end of this month. I can't wait! He should be coming home on leave for a couple of weeks after he graduates from there mid-April. I'm not sure why this group is not more active; I don't see much for AM groups on N4Ms.

Just joined this group recently and my AM is still in boot camp.  He is scheduled to go to Pensacola for his A school after finishing.  I will need to go and visit him while he is there.  These are my old stomping grounds from when I was in A School at Corry, busy becoming a CT in the 80's.

It's been a while since anyone's commented on this page.  I hope it's still active.  Nothing made me prouder than seeing those green stripe .s on my son's sleeve at graduation.  I think I'm more excited than he is.  LOL.
