Welcome gigi65!  Is your son coming home before reporting to his duty station?

Teresa when we went to visit our son in Pensacola we always rented a house on the website www.vrbo.com which is vacation rental by owner and it was so nice to have a kitchen where I could cook for him and plenty of room for everyone.  I found we could rent a house for less than what a hotel would have cost us.

Hi,  My name is Teresa and my son is an AWO and in A school in P-cola.  He will be going to Jacksonville soon.  He will also be going to SERE.  Does anyone know of some nice hotels near the air base in Jacksonville?  And is Jacksonville an open base like P-Cola?  Thanks

My sailor is stationed in WA but will be headed home for the holidays in 2 days. Of course I can't wait to see him. I too am trying to have everything finished before he gets home.

Ok what's up?  I know it's not where i should be just yet as my Sailor doens't have his E3 yet but i've joined and there is great info  here.  So how goes things with your Sailors???Where they at? are they enjoying and learning and what is the next step?  Have a great one!

Gosh it sure doesn't feel that way yet, but hopefully soon.  It's hard to for my Sailor to explain to his mom when she is asking a million questions on a cell phone with only a few minutes to spare before watch or swimming, or muster.   Hang in there Cindy-Kent's  we'll all get through this together.

Very true Cindy! It is all overwhelming at first then you find yourself picking up things along the way and before you know it Dunesmom you will be answering questions from others.

There is A school training first and then some are sent on to C school which is a more in depth training in their particular job. Not everyone will go to C school and I am pretty sure not all rates have C school.
Comment by Dunesmom on December 6, 2010 at 4:07pm
ok what is C school?
