julee88 - I asked around and one mom told me she thought is was San Diego but I thought there might be one further north also. I am waiting to hear back from another mom. When I do I let you know. :) San Diego sure would be a nice spot!
Pretty exciting to be almost done in P'cola!
My daughter leaves 9/11 and she will go to boot camp and then be a PR anyone else out there?
They have started a page for twins and I am on it, it is great. Thanks for the info!!
Cathymg ~ sorry I may have given you the wrong link! I was thinking Aircrew school not A school. It all gets so confusing at times! Have you joined the group
Parents of A School Sailors in Pensacola and/or
Sailors In Pensacola, FL For A School....Corry Station too!! ? Both are great sources of information. I also thought that there was going to be a page for parents of twins in the Navy but am not sure if that has taken off yet.
My son loves being in Pensacola. He wasn't thrilled that he had to wait to class up but it gave him time to work out and get back what he lost at BC and to also check out the area. Best of luck to both of your boys!
Nancynature, they will go to Pensacola for A school. I ask Bryce Which mechanic he was going to be and he told me Aviation Machinist Mate and then he pulled up the job description and read it to me, it was nice to have that moment with him where it seemed like he was taking it serious. Gregory's schooling is 16 weeks and Bryce's 6 weeks.
I don't understand when you make rate for a job that you qualify for the Navy won't let you move.It seem like they try to hold you back from moving up in your career and that is not fair.
Mindshaper87 - Congratulations on your son's graduation!
Sunshine son - Congratulations to you and your son! Mine just started aircrew school today!
Cathymg - Twins! Awesome! Welcome.:) Exercise, swim, exercise! I thought this website was an eye opener- a day in the life of an aircrew candidate http://www.navydep.com/forums/showthread.php?t=669 Will they be in GL or Pensacola?
I have Twin boys gong into the Navy soon, 1 is going to be a aircraft controller and the other a aircraft mechanic not sure which kind. What do they have to look forward to?? Advice please!!
