Hello, my AR just started A-School today, any recommendations you might have for us or sites to read to get us up to speed on what to expect these next 17 weeks? Thanks!

Anyone got any info on C School? Hubby's class selected their orders and since he'll be in a carrier he'll have to do C school in Pensacola before heading to his base.

Hey :) Just trying to learn more about things my boyfriend just joined and i'd like to be just as prepared as he is in knowing about how certain things work what places to be stationed aren't so good, some ideas to keep busy, just basic things. Also just new people to talk with and possible new friends. :) Thanks

Hoosier Mom

My son graduated Monday and the graduation was very nice.  They give you plenty of time with each sailor to take pictures and videos.  They also alow you to tour the school, take pictures and observe the classes in progress.  It was nice to see what they were doing these past 15 weeks.  It was so much more personal than the BC graduation.  Congrats and have fun.  If you get a chance take a tour of the museum and the base.

Hi ladies! (And gentleman, if there are any!) My husband graduates from RTC next Friday and starts A school March 7. My brother in law has been in the Navy for six years but knows little about AC's, and so I am hoping to gain some insight from here. I don't know much, except that the rate seems to be a pretty stressful and intense one. I would welcome any insight and knowledge you have! :)

My son graduates 2/13.  Just got his patch sewn on his uniform.  When they picked there was not alot to choice from.  I think he said there are 6 Navy graduating from his class and the rest are marines.  They had I think 7 choices and they start from the top of the class and work their way down.  It was something like 3 ships 3 land and 1 order that went along with the marines.

That's good he's doing AC now. I'm with Esther, not sure how they can guarantee him that when slots available recently were all sea duty. But best of luck and hope it works out. As for the move, wow, so sorry all you went thru :-( Luckily we aren't doing a full move though. I'm staying close to base at an extended stay. We were offered base housing by the housing office and his command was ready to write him the approval letter but I told my husband no cause I want him to stay on base as much as possible studying. Plus the move would've had to been paid out of pocket and is not an option being in Puerto Rico now. I'm an aviation professional so one of the main reasons to be close is to help him with studying. Plus other personal reasons for leaving where we live now early. From what the guys are saying, they'll be there more like 5-6 months and not 4. Between blocks it's taking them a while to start. :-( Hope all goes well for him and you guys get the assignment you want. Last class was able to pick their assignments supposedly. And 2 guys I believe were promoted to E4 for high grades/performance.

My husband graduated back in Nov.  The only options when he picked were for Washington and for Virginia.  Everything was sea duty....how do you know you are getting shore duty?

Anyone going to the 1/30 graduation for NAS for ACs? I can't attend and would like it if someone could take a picture of my Airmen? Thank you
