www.sweetteaetc.blogspot.com  This is a link to my blog describing my trip to the National Infantry Museum with my Sailor and my Soldier!  Please read & share if you like!

I know my Sailor won't want to wear his peanut butters, but since my Soldier has to stay in uniform the whole weekend, maybe he won't made mind changing just for a pic or 2!  I have discovered that once they reach their duty stations they're in civvies anytime they're off duty!  We tend to imagine they're in uniform.  But I was happy to see he wore those dress whites to church on Easter.

Charlotte you are so right!  But sometimes they surprise us in a good way.  Got a text from  my Sailor today.  He can't make graduation but he will be in Ft. Benning with us for my Soldier's 36-hour pass!  Talk about  photo ops!  HOOAH!  HOOYAH!

Only 6 days til I get to see my Soldier who has a 36-hour break from training at Ft. Benning.  Our Sailor it seems will deploy early summer and--dang the Navy!--he'll be underway until 2 days AFTER our Soldier's graduation.  Talk about bad timing.

Hi Peggy. My son is stationed in Everett. He is on the USS INGRAHAM. They are deployed at the moment but will be home soon. I'm so excited that he will be here in Huntsville sometime in the next few weeks. He has only been in Everett about 3-4 days total. He arrived on a Thur afternoon. When he signed into his ship they told him he was deploying on Monday morning. He really has not signed in good yet. Right now he has no place to stay when he gets back.Looks like he will be busy taking  care of business. He is also an ET. He has friends from A and C school that are in Norfolk so that will be his first stop when he takes leave. Then we get him for the rest of him leave.  Congratulations Debra on this new soon to be baby boy!!! I know you are excited. ONE DAY! If any of my sons ever find Ms Right.

So great to meet another Ala. mom!  I too have a Georgia connection with my sister & her family in the Stone Mtn. area.  Also, my #2 son is a temporary resident of GA, as he's completing OSUT at Ft. Benning.  As most everyone in this group has heard, I have a Sailor (coming up on his 1 year anniversary with the USN and his 1st deployment) and a Soldier (just learned he'll go Airborne).  We do have some get-togethers, and I think I could use one soon!

Hi Guys! I hope everyone is doing ok. I am glad to be home in my home state. I'm also a part of Georgia Navy Moms because we lived there for 11 years. Alot of great Moms and friends in our neighbor state, I grew up in Bham. Went to college at JSU. Got married in Ozark/Dothan. Husband is retired Army. Now we are back and living in Huntsville at Redstone Arsenal. My Sailor son is   about to be back on US soil from his first deployment.I am so excited I do not know what to do. He is at Everett Wa. It too is a long way from Huntsville. Do we ever have get togethers or meet and greets. Would love to meet some of our Alabama Moms

Hello-- my son left for GL/Basic last week. Just thought I'd say hello to everyone!

Looking at some changes here . . . My Sailor just got in from being underway for 2 weeks. He says his deployment has been moved up about 2 months! In the meantime, #2 son has written to say he will be going to Ft. Campbell after graduation. He's joining the 101st Airborne Assault Div. Lord have mercy! I will be nuts by the end of summer.

Definitely looking at a summer deployment for my Sailor. Probably 9 months . His first. Meanwhile my Soldier is on track to graduate OSUT on May 25. I will be there! After that, possibly Afghan. I pray we get out of there soon!
