Praying for you Karla.  My mom is 81, lives in Alaska, & is generally in poor health.  It makes me remember what they told us when our Sailors were in DEP--Don't miss em while you're with em.

Hey ladies!  Had a blast Saturday meeting you all!  Special thatnks to our sailors who came.  Your information was so helpful to me!  I wish you all the best and will keep you in my prayers!  Thank you all for your support, and for answering all my questions.  Having moms who have already been there done that, is a great help.  Let's do it again real soon!

Karla, keeping you and your family in our prayers.  Hope your mom gets better soon!  Missed you Saturday but hope to see you soon!

That was fun, ladies!  But next time, everybody has to wear something that says Navy on it or either we've got to have name tags!  Wonderful to talk to you all & thanks so much for the hospitality you showed "my" Sailors & my Future Soldier as well.  Now, to make muffins out of the 2 pints of fresh blueberries I bought.  (((NMH)))

2 Sailors to the good at my house! So happy!  They both want to see Peach Park before they head to their new stations (they're just out of A school).  Can they come eat lunch with us?  If not, I'll send em next door to Whataburger. LOL

Swick are special warfare operators that work on the small river type boats.  Here is a link http://usmilitary.about.com/od/navy/a/swcc.-uqe.htm.  My son had considered this if he was having trouble stayin in.

Yeah he has the situation; he is an ABH2.  currently on shore duty and I know what you mean about the retention rate; he has so many "slugs" in his department that don't need to be there.

Feel your pain Yankee's Mom.  My son missed his first PTS look, but then he passed the E5 test off the March cycle.  He will re-enlist for 6 which will bring him to 14.  On his way to Pcola in October and then to the IKE.

stephsmom - I heard about the move!  I know that must be crazy for you!  I am proud of her for being so independent though.  She is strong like her mom and sister!!  Ok and her dad and brother, better not leave out the men! LOL!  Give them all hugs!
