Ok this is very new to me, I am assuming PIR is graduation day, so is everyone assigned a ship and division?  Is it based off when you get there or what you do?  Should I have already known this??  Heard some people say their recruiter had an address and others say the address from recruiters were wrong, what do I need to do??  I am so anxious for my letter even if it isn't from him!!

I got a letter today and he passed his swimming. Yay, he said everything is good, just ready to see everyone. Still no phone call.

crisanthomom, I think we all have the same fears. My son is in BC for 4 weeks now and I have received 1 letter andother than the initial phone call, I haven't even received a call. It is extremely hard no knowing if he is ok and just not being able to tell him good night. You will find as you read the comments that things you think are crazy, everyone else is experiencing too. It helps me to just read comments and know that I am not alone in this and you aren't either.

We went 7 years ago.  He just wanted to get off the base.  He had to be back at a certain time because he was not staying in Great Lakes for an A School, but going to P'cola for a C School the next day; he was an undesignated Airman.  We went over to area by 6 Flags, ate at a real restaurant, then to the mall where some guy in a kiosk was doing caracutures and then to a movie.
