Hi Francine
He has not even left GL yet, Feb 1st for V Bch. I don't know what his living arrangement will be yet. He will be a LCAC deck engineer. and will have C school first.
The boot camp stinks, but you will both grow and mature from it and yes we're here for you because there will be tears.

Hi Monica
I don't know who BC is hardest on Moms or recruits. Hang in there. It took me about 3 weeks to go in Daniels room and clean lol. Oh and when you get the "box" don't but surprised if it smells like socks! yuck, You'll look back as we are now and you'll get thru it. I'll send you a friend invite if you need to talk.

Good Morning Everyone
Monica
The memories just came flooding back. This will be a very long 8 weeks but I can tell you if you let us we will help you. No one will understand the feelings you have except those of us who have been there. You will be in my prayers. James has made a wonderful and very hard decision but it he will come thru on theother side a "man".

Monica
the week before Daniel left we took a 5 day road trip. Went to Six Flags, went boating,.... anything he wanted, me too. I like that kind of thing. When we went for graduation he wanted to go back to Six Flags! I've riden more roller coasters this year than ever lol. Just do special things now, him asking you out to lunch is his way of showing you he wants so "mom" time.

Hi everyone, I'm Robin from Monroeville
Monica... If it helps my son PIR'd 2 weeks ago. My husband and I flew up to see him for graduation and the wonderful change that had occured was amazing. He was still himself but much better.
The last few weeks before grad will be hard for both of you. He'll have "hell" week then Battles Stations. Write to him every day. Send cards, cut out newspaper clippings ( I sent highschool and college football scores). They do not get news of any kind so this is a link to the out side word and they share it with the others. You can email me personaly if you like, I would be happy to help you in any way I can.
Cindy... Hi How do we do the cards?
