scuttlebutt... one month is really not all that bad.  Some are on hold like my son was for 3 months.  Some A schools are at your own pace so to speak and some have instructors.  Some kids pass, some roll back and so it can slow down the pipeline a bit.  Plus remember the holidays also slowed things up a bit too.  Its a good time for her to concentrate of her Phasing up to where she can have more freedoms while in school.  It can be a beneficial time as long as the Sailor uses it wisely.  PT, phasing up, volunteer work etc...

Precious... ahhhh so glad that your Sailor is not on her way!!!!

Val - very wonderful!~

Happy Bday to our Bday men!

Hello Ladies!!! That great Ilinois weather put me out of commission for a while...lol!!

Again it was good to meet you all.  My sailor is still waiting for school to start as well, he is at Great Lakes. I really enjoy the ability for him to call and text.  Today is his brothers birthday and he is waiting on a call.  I know his face is going to light up!!

I don't understand why they have to wait for A school, I would like they would have everything worked out so they did have so many people waiting in things just hanging out. my daughter had a month to wait. She said she takes some classes during the day but they are not for A school. :/ they only up side is that I get to talk or text every day. that really nice.

Hello ladies....its been a while, but my sailor has passed eveything and is now in. "A" school in Mississippi. Its so nice to talk to her longer than a few minutes. She just got a cellphone and can contact me a little more. I'm happy.....

We are heading to Goose Creek, SC this Saturday to see our favorite sailor!  A's birthday is Friday and we want to celebrate with him.  We'll drive down on Saturday and spend the day with him seeing the sights and getting a tour of the Naval Base. He is already connected with a local church and we'll be able to attend there with him Sunday morning and then drive home Sunday night - only a 6 or 7 hour trip.         He is somewhat board waiting for classes to start - not sure how it all works but I guess he is waiting for enough Et's to make another class.    Yesterday he went out and toured the harbor and aquarium downtown and got some authentic spicy southern food.         6 days to see him in beautiful historic Charleston!!!!     Can't Wait!!!

Thanks Jan for asking R to remind C...I would love to see the pictures..I have never done facebook but I could ask my daughter to help me...

Happy Happy Birthday to You and Your Daughter..(I always feel like it is our birthday too !! lol)

We put the huge picture of C from graduation at the table with candles in cake and his favorite stuff...it was actually pretty funny..it was like he was sitting there with us.. after dinner we all sang to his picture and we blew out the candles...our goofiness gets us through..hahahaha
