Leslie....Thank you for you comment. I did hear from my son late last night. They had been out on patrol and got in late last night. He needed to make sure all his men got to call their mom's and wives before he could call. He is a ture leader, always taking care of his men.

He sounded good. He said it had been raining there and they where in the mud a good deal of the time. He is counting the days until he departs and come back stateside.

HI Leslie,

Congratulations and enjoy your time with your mid and his friend!! What a great blessing to get to have your mid and another one together to hear about things that are uniquely Annapolis.

How did the mids do in the triathalon? Well, I hope. Thanks so much for the heartfelt Mother's Day well wishes.

Ladies....I to miss those days when mine was a mid. The last mothers day I got to spend with mine son was in 2000 when he was 2nd class. The day we spent together is still fresh on my mind.

If I am really lucky I will get to hear from my son this weekend. He is on his thrid deployment to the middle east.

Hope all you ladies have a wonderful Mothers day!

Yes we are members of both the USNA and GA USNA. Nobody has seen anything official, but the site was a WEALTH of information, including how to prepare for Plebe Summer. I am sure I will feel much better for PPW, than I day......shopping for comfortable shoes and cool clothing!

PPW... anybody heard any dates for sure? B & G officer told us to book today, so we have 2 weekends booked. Hate to hold a room for that long.

Congratulations Leslie!! That sounds so exciting for your youngster mid to be participating in triathalons at home. Do you know if he'll get to come home again later for another block? Hopefully, huh...lol

I thought PIR = Pass In Review, the parade done before a graduation. Maybe it has 2 meanings.

All....I am in need of some assistance. It may seem a little thing, but it means a great deal to my 4 year old granddaughter. My son will be transfering from the east coast to the west coast this summer. My granddaughter has two little fish that she has had for a couple of years. She is already anixous about the move and wants to make sure her fish go with her.

Has anyone out there had experience moving and taking along fish? Any recommendations or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Youngest son, Daniel, in 10th grade is on NJROTC trip to Annapolis. He would really love to go there so this trip will be like none other. Can't wait to hear what he has to say about it!
