Good morning. I am a mother of two sailors, my son and my daughter are both Navy Corpsmen stationed in Bremerton, Washington and Twentynine Palms, California respectively. My husband is in the Air Force and we recently transferred to Fort Smith from Massachusetts. I am looking to find a group here where I might be useful and feel a part of something here in Arkansas. Is this group active?

I still cry all the time when I read the boot camp moms and think about getting my box, phone calls and letters, not to mention his PIR!!! Yes, I went to Sarge's at the Sundance Saloon. He has a lot of good info, although I knew most of it from reading here, lol, but I was able to meet up with many of the moms I'd become close to from here and Face Book. That was my favorite part :)

Sunshine66, I've been watching video on PIR and every time the bay doors are opened I loss it. So, I can only imagine what it's going to be when it my SR!!

I have a question for you. Did you attend a meet and greet and which one?

Comment by kjacob's mom on April 8, 2013 at 4:47pm

Sunshine66, Bay is about 6 miles outside of Jonesboro.

Momma Kim, Thanks for the advice. I've been watching every video I can find so far. Mainly because I want to know what my son is doing. He's only been there since April 2, so I am not expecting a call for at least a couple of weeks, but I'm keeping the phone handy just in case.
