OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Congrats!!! It was so exciting for me. Hope it's wonderful for you!!! I learned do not take any pictures outside on base. You could lose your camera, Inside at PIR is ok but none outside!! And get there really early, I mean early!! We were there an hour early and had to sit up in balcony. Still good seats but even the balcony was almost full. If I think of anything else I'll let ya know.

Hey Cyndi! How are you doing?? I made it through bc. My son Austin aka Odoyle had PIR on 8/6. Any help or info I can give let me know. The group I joined for our ship and division was a God send. Full of ideas and info. We kept each other informed when our division made calls, and what tests were coming up and what was happening with our group in general. The boys got nervous when they found out all of us moms were talking :) We even had t-shirts made for the Meet and greet the night before graduation.
Let me know what I can do to help you through bc.

Kelly
