OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Kimbo, is your A school at the Great Lakes too? If not, you could be shipped out that day at like 2AM. In that case you wouldn't need him to have leave. As far as I know, about leave, you have to earn everything, Especially when you first get there (there are like levels of freedom, so to speak). The only thing that is definite is nothing is definite. Too bad you couldn't go in together. Wouldn't that have been cute. Good luck and I hope you get to spend some time together after you graduate.

No my schooling is in Florida. But he will be in great lakes school when i graduate boot camp and i hurd you usually get that weekend off when you graduate before A school so I was hoping i would be able to see my fiance that weekend. Or he could watch me graduate.

I will tell you Kimbo, there were tons of people being shipped out that night 2AM, 4AM. Some were being shipped to Ohare airport to sit and wait, some didn't leave until that afternoon. I hope that isn't the case for you, but don't get too excited. Maybe someone that experienced that can comment on your post? I got my son the entire weekend, since he went to Great Lakes A school.

We left Waukegan Sunday night, I have to say that I loved every minute of the PIR. I literally was bouncing out of my seat. I can't wait to get the video so I can watch it again. Quickly moving through the croud to find my son and finally having that moment that I had been waiting for of running to him with my arms wide open and wrapping them around him will be one of the best moments of my life. He looked so amazing, all the sailors did. It was a wonderful day, Unfortunately We had to say goodby to Ryan at 7pm that evening. He left for A school at 3am on a chartered flight. We have been talking everyday so I am much happier and he is out of bootcamp. As far as our stay at the residence Inn, it was wonderful. I would highly recomment it. Good Luck to all of you... -

He probably could. Maybe... If he doesn't have duty, he should be able to grab some of his shipmates to come show you a good time. Friday, he would have to ask for special permission to attend the ceremony.
I forget what the exact rules for live-ashores is, or what the rules for PiR liberty are. Maybe ask if it's allowable to have the family of one of your division mates drive you over to the main gate, then you could hang out on base with him and get a small measure of voice-range privacy. I have no idea how you would get back in the evening, unless your man knows someone with a car and is willing to owe him a big favor.
Tell him to talk to his SDC as soon as he gets onto base. They most certainly know something I don't, and might be able to figure out the best logistics. It could take that long to get the chit approved anyway.
RockSlice says that your guy's biggest priority after talking to his SDC is to go through all the steps to get Phase 2. It will make things logistically easier as well as giving him a slightly better chance of having the chit approved. -

When my son had his PIR (graduation) I was talking to a female who was in A school when her fiance graduated with my son. She was able to attend her fiance's PIR. She put in her "chit" and it was up to her superiors to decide. She did not know until the day before but she finally did get to go.
