Finally heard from my son this morning. Feeling a tad less concerned today.
Can anyone tell me how fast they get mail/packages? What food ships well and what tricks people have used to ship things like cookies, or frozen food? (if you can ship that)
Lady, the message says this video is not available in this country, however, I believe I have watched it before.
Just concerns me a bit for those sailors living off base, which includes my own sailor.
chriscwick...We call it the "DRAMA LLAMA"... It is always prevalent in education. I really don't understand it myself. I would have done the same if I were in your shoes. Too much stress these days to deal with that kind of situation. I am in my 25th year this year. I just pray I can make it 5 more. It is getting so much more difficult to do your job these days. Too much red tape and paperwork from the top to be able to focus on the children. We have been furloughed again this year and they cut our number of days to 161 with time added each day to make up the difference. Odd..They cut our pay, require more hours and demand more dedication. Something seems amiss with that picture. Oh well, all goes with the territory I guess. I try to stay in my room and keep my head low and many prayers through the course of the day. Hope you have something come your way soon. Susan
What the heck is going on with all the civil unrest in Bahrain?
Lady Hamilton...I know you are on pins and needles to see her. I know I am with J. I get more anxious by the day. I know he will only be with us for a little while, but it will be great.
Chriscwick...Sounds like everything is going well. There is no companion like a dedicated dog to comfort you when others are not close and sometimes when they are I know what you mean about college. Ours did not finish. He has 2 semesters to finish when he gets back. The Navy did not want him to finish because he could not enter the Spec Ops program as an officer. They wanted him to earn that through the ranks. Best laid plans of mice and men, right?
He shouldn't have any trouble finishing though when he gets back to the states, whenever that will be.
Well, I go back to school today. Time to go sit in meetings all day and listen to protocols for the year. Students come back on Monday. Teaching Writing this year to 90 students. I will be blind by Christmas. Have a great day everyone.
