Wolf Girl--

Did you see the post in Central Cal Moms that a new BSM group has formed in Merced.  Is that closer than Sacramento for you?

Went to my 1st BSM's meeting and I'm so proud I belong to this wonderful organization. They recently sent care packages out with much success and gratitude, that an email reached our Chapter President asking if 5 needy Sailors could receive such a wonderful gift. I was so proud to be a part of that motion and, now, our guys will have a nice surprise for the holidays!

The Fresno meetings are the 3rd Thursday evening of the month. Did you go on the National website to get the meeting night and location of the sacramento or modesto group.

Looks like the sacramento group has a morning meeting on Dec 11. Check out the calendar. I would just show up at the meeting if I were you. Try not to get impatient, its like the miliary...hurry up and wait.

Good morning all;
Central Valley Blue Star Moms were busy this fall, in October we delivered Bears to the patients in the Fresno VA Hospital. Our heros there thought the bears were cute, soft and cuddley. We started on annual collection of goodies for local area soldiers from 9/11 - 11/11. On Veterans Day, we were in the Fresno Veterans Day Parade, some of our Moms and some rode in the decorated truck. Last Thursday night, we packaged almost 300 boxes to be shipped to our soldiers all over the US and the world. We were helped by many organizations. It was wonderful to see so many different groups at our packing party. Have a wonder holiday season.

HI all;
I went to a Red Cross Blood Drive, along with other Blue Star Moms from the Fresno Chapter today. The Blood Dribe was started and organized by a Marine wife who is daughter-in-law of one of our chapter members. The young Marine is deployed in Afghanistan and is scheduled to rotate home in October. There were at least 35 donors there today.

I purchased from the link below, only tip is to have enough time. It took a little longer to get than they said. Price was very reasonable for custom printing.
