Yay!! Hopefully that means that some of us who are a little further out will get one tomorrow. If I remember correctly I got my box the day after you and same with the form letter (17th and 20th) so maybe I will get one tomorrow, here's to hoping! Congrats on him being the section leader!!

I hope you get yours soon!  Such a relief!!

BRENDABO,  I am so happy for you.  When did your SR arrive at BC?

july 11

he shipped out july 11

That is such great news! Right now I am waiting on the form letter...we got the box on Monday so I am hoping the form letter isn't too far behind. I just want to be able to send him a letter so bad. I want him to be able to get a letter so that he will know that we are thinking about him daily. Though don't get me wrong I terribly want a hand written letter to know that my son is ok. But I know that he is or we would have received a phone call saying different. Each day that goes by and I don't hear anything I know is a good day. My son arrived at  BC on July 17. It has only been a little over a week but feels like forever. Well I am so happy for you to have received your letter.

I am the same way. no news is good news!! I have written a letter everyday since the day he left. So when I finally got the form letter I had like 13 letters to send!!  I am sure when he gets his first mail call he is going to freak out!  I tell  him just what goes on at home.  I figure if He is not here then at least I will tell him what is going on!!! I cried when we got the box.  My husband opened it up before I got home so I made him seal it back up so I could open it myself!!! I cried when the form letter came also!!  But today when I got the handwritten letter I didn't cry.  Just glad to know that he is actually doing ok!!

Brendabo I'm jealous! Our sons are in the same ship/division and if my son got any job he didn't say, so I highly doubt it. I got my first letter today! Thank God! I was really getting worried. The way I read it, they didn't do anything physical till the 20th and he got there on the 11th so he felt really out of shape. But I bet he's not the only one.
Counting days till 9/7!
Beth

OOOOOOoooo! You are so lucky! No letter from my son yet. Ship 09 Div 288. I will probably have a hard time reading thru the tears! Happy tears! Ha!

I agree with you.  I haven't gotten my 1st letter either. I will have a hard time reading thru all the tears, too.  Keeping my fingers crossed for a letter tomorrow!  I bet my mailman is holding on to it!  LOL
