This is a group set up by moms who want to help Sailors who do not recieve mail for whatever reasons. We all know how important it is for our SR's to recieve mail from home while they are so far away from home and their loved ones. If all it takes is one letter to brighten a boys day when his name is called at mail time. I know my son felt bad for those guys and I wished I had a way to help. well now I can and so can you by either joining our group and/or providing names (we have the addresses) privately of course and no one will know who this information came from. Please private message me if you can get names from your SR through letters or phone calls so that we may start writing. Thank you in advance for your help.

yuo can give me the info i will write. I write my sr daily and would love to help other sr's get through this.
I will PM you with the info I have.  You can choose 1 or more from the list.  Thanks.

ok no problem

Thank you so much.

Hi lemonelephant,

Could you send the list to me as well. Right now I am just adding letters without names and ask my son to pass it on, but more personal would be good.

So glad we can do that, it breaks my heart knowing that some just don't get any mail.

I've sent a Friend Request and will PM them when you accept.
Done and thank you, I thought we were already friends - my bad!

Thanks EVERYBODY !

lemonelephant will send you names of some of the SR's in ship 03 Div 320 that my son told me about in his letter last week. He felt so sad for them.  4 have rec'd no mail and the others only 1 letter in these 26 days, 4 are from other countries, and the others are from the US.  I wrote them yesterday and hope they never find out he told me. These guys need encouragement just like our SR's and they need to know someone appreciates their efforts to protect and defend us.

We are a bunch of fine Mommas!  Any SR would be proud to claim us....A Big pat on our backs!!

I would love to send some letters to sr's without mail.  I hate to think of one of them with nothing to read!  Please let me know how I can be part of this. I haven't even gotten my son's address yet - he only arrived at bc on the 23rd. Got his box, though!
you can count me in.  all i need is a name.

HI ALL,

Got names from 03/320 as well, I am just going to write to 4 from the end of the list. If we let each other know which one we picked, no names of course just the numbers, we are able to make sure everyone gets the same amount of letters.

I don't know my son's ship/division yet, but I should soon.  I can still write letters to sr's in another division, right?
