FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO GET STARTED:

Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

@shaenaaa I got my box Wednesday also and no letter either and he went to basics on March 17 I hope also tomorrow
I'm like stressed to the max for this . I didn't know this would be this hard and getting your hope up for the letter just crush your day when you see the mail and the letters not there :(
I'm crossing my finger for us. I get the same way, for me though it was my husband so I'm just like empty without him. I have like 2 letter read and set I just need that address , I hope it's here tomorrow !
Okay, so do you know you SR job?
I totally understand I keep myself busy at work I get home wishing for that form letter to send the letters I've been writing. I just need to know its hard:(. Tomorrow I hope we both get that letter
For those that PIR date is 5/15... When did you guys get your box and letter ? And when did your SR get to GL

Got my box right away.  Just got my letter today (3-27). My SR arrived on March 17.   

I got my SR's box on Monday and still no letter. Feel like I have been stalking our mail lady, haha. Hopefully tomorrow so I can start working on travel plans and get letters off to him. Have a great weekend Moms and loved ones!

still no letter. got the box last Friday...is it possible the letters are sent alphabetically? my son's name at the end....?? was really hoping for the letter so I can mail letters to the boy.....hoping he is doing ok!! 

Hi, my son also arrived at boot camp on the 17th.  We got the box on Monday but still no letter:(  Really hoping it comes today!

my son arrived on march 17...got box AND got a call this morning!! he was upset, said he was homesick. not liking it much....tried to be positive and told him how proud I am of him and he is loved to the moon.  sent a card today and writing letter now for Monday.  he is ship 14 div 177 PIR 5/15
