I was wondering if any other family members have SR's who arrived on this date. Also, I would love to know how to start planning a trip to graduation , which I was given est of July 5th (a very expensive week to attempt travel). I'm still just overwhelmed with how fast this happened and I miss my son very much. Please anyone with a son/daughter who left May 6th please add me as a friend as I do not know this site as well as others. Also, if you would just like to help me with all the terms and what a meet sarge is and where to stay I am crying my eyes out because I feel so uninformed. Also can you post pictures of your SR on this page and should I change my name? I need help. Thanks to anyone willing to respond. Also after I post things, how do I go find my original post without having to scroll down a whole list of things. I'm sorry to be a bother..

I had to smile when I read about learning to "square check" as that is what I do!! I keep my phone on me at all times. Not that I want to get a call, as I have heard over and over again that no news is good news, and that I shouldn't expect to hear from her for 2 weeks, but it just feels better to know I won't miss her regardless.
My son left May 6th. Happy Mothers Day~ Have not received the box yet. was wondering if anyone else has? Tried to call the recruiter but no call back yet. It will be 7 days tomorrow. Everyone have a good day.
My daughter left the 6th as well and I received the box on Thursday (I live in Florida). Happy Mother's Day and I'm sure the box will arrive tomorrow for you. In case you weren't aware, the package comes FedEx and must be signed for.
My daughter left for Boot Camp on May 7th and I haven't received her FedEx box yet :-(
DerricksMom and NavyMom1207, since "the box" typically arrives by FedEx and they do not deliver on the weekend, perhaps you will get it Monday. Remember to leave anote if you are not there to allow them to leave it without a signature or go to http://www.fedex.com/us/delivery/ and set up the delivery options.
Join the group, DEP-Leavin for bootcamp in May (clickable link), to connect with others with loved ones who left the same day and may have PIR together. Once you get the form letter, you will be able to join the group for your SR's PIR date once it is created.
Thanks for the tip! I just went to fedex to set up delivery options, but so far they have no shipments scheduled for my address today :-( I'll keep checking.
Fed Ex just called, there was an error on the address. They are holding it for me at Fed Ex and I can pick it up after 6:30pm.
I'm glad you will be able to get it today.
Good 4 u. We got the box the same day and form letter came here, hope yours did too. I know you got letters going out, Keep me posted. Bec
I am so glad you got your letter. What's your son's PIR date?
Fed Ex man must have been having a tough Monday. Address was written correctly, but he read it wrong. Good to know my daughter wasn't so stressed that she forgot our address!! :-) I opened her box, and it was surreal to see her clothes and sneakers..... No letter yet though.
