Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

My son arrived at boot camp on Tuesday morning at 3:30. Looking for anyone else that has son/daughter that arrived there this week? This is so new to me and I miss him dearly! Can't wait to receive box so I can feel near him again. I miss him so much! He is my only child. Cried all day Monday!

My husband is leaves for meps today and goes to bc tomorrow. This has been way harder than I imagined. I have been crying all week already.

AWE... Hang in there! It is a rollercoaster ride for sure! The hardest part is at the beginning... because time passes slowly at first, but it speeds up towards the end! Before you know it, you will be on your way to PIR!!! Best wishes to you and your SR!!!

Angie, my son has been at bc since sept 5th. It is a roller coaster for sure. The women on this site have been a lifeline for me. Hang in there. We are all there for each other. Welcome to the group of mailman stalking, obsessive cell phone packing, navy mamas!!

My daughter arrived Wednesday morning at 1:00. This is also new to me. Did you get the box yet. Mine came yesterday but I was not there to sign for it! I will hopefully be able to get it today! Are you doing any better since this post? The first 3 days were horrible for me. I still have many moments through out the day where i'm brought to tears. I write almost everyday which does help a little, can't wait to get the address so I can send them.

sad to say, I got a call late Thursday and he was at Lovell hospital. Had a bad anxiety attack from what I can gather and has been shipped over to ship 5--SEPS--today (Tuesday) Oct 15th! Waiting on process procedure and on his way home. Not sure how long that takes, but hope it isn't long, I'm worried about him! Does anyone have any idea what it's like there and how long the process for home is? I live in Columbus, Georgia and wondering how they will get him home? Any info would be greatly appreciated!

I'm sorry Angie... I don't have any info for you...but I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. While this is tough now, there will be something else out there that will be just the right fit for him. There are many people out there who wouldn't even consider joining the military. Your son gave what he could give...and that is all any of us can ask of ourselves...and each other- and that is all that is honorable and brave. Blessings to you and your family:)
