Hey there...yup - I'm in this same boat too. My son got to BC on the 23rd ...and all I want is to hear from him! I miss him terribly - but I know this is an amazing thing he is doing!
Yes, my son got there 11/25. Waiting anxiously for the letter, but I don’t think it’s going to come for another 2 weeks or so. At least that’s what my son told me with his last call from BC. My sister just gave me a beautiful Navy ornament for my Christmas tree. Now I’m missing him even more during this season!
My Son arrived on 11/19- trying to be patient and wait for the letter!!! Thanksgiving this year was a rough one, but I am beyond proud of the choice that he has made!
My son also arrived the 19th. Thanksgiving was also tough on us. We decorated our Christmas tree yesterday and it didn't feel the same having one of my kids not there. But like you I am so proud of him and am excited for him also. I am trying to be patient for the letter but some days its hard
It is very hard! I was told that the letter should be here by Wednesday, but I’m not sure because of the holiday. I got rid of all my social media, but I was happy to find this site for support! It’s nice to be able to talk to Moms who are going through the same thing. We’ll get through this together!
Ladies ....sounds like out kids all arrived at the same time. Hopefully we all get letters soon as the wait is so hard! But again this is awesome for our kids!!
My son arrived 11/25 and Thanksgiving just wasn't the same not only did we miss him but his appetite as well. Patiently waiting on a phone call or a letter. I thought I would hold up better than this........some days are better than others.
My son arrived on 11/19 however he had to have emergency surgery to remove his appendix on 11/26. He is now at RCU for 3-4 weeks . Now his pir is moved back. I have not received any letters. He was able to call me from the hospital before he was released to let me know what was going on. But I did not get the scripted call saying he was moved to rcu until this past Tuesday. So a full week after his surgery.
However, he was able to give me his address and stated he would be able to call and talk later this week or next.
